Hi people, new guy here!

I was trying to get started into this world but got stuck.

Im using the last version of Kali Linux on my VirtualBox and trying to install my new Edimax EW-711UAn v2, but I cant get it to work, I cant get the driver installed properly. (I though this was an "out-of-the-box" plug and play).

On the Live CD there is a Linux driver: DPO_MT7601U_LinuxSTA_3.0.0.4_20130913, but when I run "make" I get the following:
...
...
make[1]: Entering directory '/lib/modules/4.0.0-kali1-amd64/build'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for 'modules'
make[1]: Leaving directory '/lib/modules/4.0.0-kali1-amd64/build'
cp -f /root/DPO_MT7601U_LinuxSTA_3.0.0.4_20130913/os/linux/mt7601Usta.ko /tftpboot 2>/dev/null || :
root@kali:

From Virtual Box, I connect the USB as an USB port, which I can see Kali recognizes with "lsusb", but it does nothing; and if I connect it as a "Network Adapter", nothing happens, "ifconfig" doesnt show any wlan connections, nor "iwconfig".

Any help? I got no idea
