Kali keeps trying to authenticate without connecting

    Hello guys,

Yesterday I've installed Kali 2.0 on my laptop (Not as a VM). Everything went right except for the wireless network card.

    Things I have tried:

    - apt-get update/upgrade; It did update/upgrade via a wired connection but the wireless problem was not solved.
    - tried solving the problems using the stickies on the forum without success
    - updating the driver software

If you want to see the output of any commands I will provide them as quickly as possible.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. I am sorry if this does not satisfy the rules of a valid thread, it's my first post and English is not my first language.

What's the make & model of your wireless card? Do you know its chipset? My first instinct would be to check that against the recommended wireless cards.

I'd also post the make & model of your laptop. If you have a built-in wireless card on the laptop, I've seen that cause problems; try disabling it.
