    VMWare not booting up Kali

Hi - this might be more of a VMWare issue than a Kali one, but here goes.

I'm using VMWare Workstation 12 Player. I have a Kali Linux 1.0.9 machine but when I play it, instead of booting up Kali it takes me to the screen attached (sorry it's a little dark). I can go into recovery mode as root and I see that the files are still there, so I've obviously not wiped my VM....

    Any hints gratefully received!

You are a NEWB , Mistakes are made. I use Kali Linux as my main OS and I have VM in kali which has windows installed in it. I have used Kali Linux in VMware ALL the time , you simply just do not know what you are doing when you set up vmware. lol. please do more research before asking for questions like this when you can find it on google.
