    Question Missing packages for general use

    [Solved]

    I did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade.

    After that the packages where correctly installed.

    Hi all,

    I just installed Kali 2.0.1 for Raspberry PI 2, which works like a charm!

    Unfortunately it is missing some packages for general use, which I consider mandatory:

    • Htop;
    • Midnight Commander;
    • Synaptic Package Manager.

    Beside that I'm not able to setup virtual consoles using dpkg-reconfigure console-setup.

    The first error message is that console-setup is not installed.

    When I try to install it, APT complains that console-setup is deprecated

    Is there an option to add the default Debian repositories (if Yes, then on which Debian release is Kali 2.0.1 based?) or is that the dumbest idea everĀ®? Meaning it will hose Kali completely?

    TIA
