Has anyone else come across any difficulties booting the pre-configured Offensive Security VMware Kali Linux 64 bit on a windows 10 machine?
In the past i've never had any issues booting Kali Linux 64 bit VM Offensive Security from Vmware 12 Pro on windows 7. But today, I received my new XPS 13 laptop w/windows 10, and had vmware 12 pro installed. I re-downloaded the vmware files from OS website, and when I tried to boot it the first time around it would just go to a dark screen after I chose to boot into GUI. I tried messing with the settings, but that didnt do much either.
I tried changing the compatibility from version 8 of vmware to version 12 and this time around I was able to get further into the boot process, but it still never loaded.
wondering if anyone else had this issue? My next step is to attempt and install Kali from scratch and see if that works.
