    adb not showing any devices

I can not get adb to recognize devices in Kali. When I run "./adb devices" it shows nothing at all. Kali is setup as a VM in Fusion, and it's version 2.0. When I connect two different phones they do show up in dmsg. Using "tail -f /var/log/messages &" I get the following output when connecting the phones.

    Code:
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.797043] usb 2-2: new high-speed USB device number 17 using ehci-pci
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.984165] usb 2-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0e8d, idProduct=2008
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.984169] usb 2-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=4
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.984171] usb 2-2: Product: STUDIO
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.984172] usb 2-2: Manufacturer: MediaTek
    Jan 20 12:27:50 haxor kernel: [ 5575.984173] usb 2-2: SerialNumber: 0123456789FFFFFF
I've added the 51-android.rules as stated here. http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html.

    Code:
    cat /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules
