I've been having major issues getting wireless to run on this machine; keep in mind that Macbook Air models do not have ethernet ports so I have to download packages onto a USB drive and then transfer them across.
I'm getting this error "FATAL: Module wl not found" but I can't find where to download and install the wl module.
Some necessary information:
- Kali 2.0
- HDD Dual Boot
- ran ifconfig, lspci, rfkill, and dmesg
- FATAL: Module wl not found was a regular error
- broadcom-sta-dkms-6.30.223.348-3_all.deb was downloaded and installed, as well as a few other packages, I just don't have those package names on me right now. Will update when I do.
ifconfig output:
Code:
root@kali:~# ifconfig wlan0

root@kali:~# ifconfig -a

I also input dmesg and saw that the Broadcom adapter was loaded; just didn't include the output here because it was too long.
Any help would be much appreciated, I just can't get my head around this.
Thanks,
