problems upgrading to 2016

installed kali2 dual boot with win7, everything went fine.. update to 2016.. pffff!!! my display was all blurry at the beggining, then reseted after 5 sec and worked fine. then i discovered my usual external usb wireless card won't work under monitor mode. in the evening iwconfig results my wlan0, but could not connect to wifi. dmesg and lsusb was ok. got angry and installed kali2 on wmvare. i hope for the best in the future of new rolling

until may, i'll stick with kali2.when they no longer update it, just download a fresh 2016 and see what happens.the update just ain't working. it is smoother but.. incomplete unfortunatelly(at least for me)

is there a way to get back to Kali 2.0 after update? My PC freezes when trying to run gdm3 (black screen, no cursor blinking etc). Only recovery mode works.
