Update of tools

Hi there,
some tools of Kali Linux tell me tell me that they are outdated. "apt-get update" and "apt-get install <tool>" will not install the update. How to install the updates?

I am using:
Operating system: Linux
Operating system name: Debian
Operating system version: Kali Linux 2.0
Kernel version: 4.0.0
Hardware platform: x86_64

apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade are the recommended commands for getting Kali updates.
