Kali Locking Up During Power Saving

    Cubox i4Pro running Kali 2.0

Ive tried disabling all the power saving features so nothing is shut off. The only way to get it come back is to unplug my wifi usb adapter or pull the power. I do get an error when pulling up my screensaver saying the daemon isnt running (when im logged in as root). Could it trying to turn on the screensaver cause this? Can't i just disable screensaver? I have it set to 600 minutes and power management disabled.

same issue occurred with my raspi 2.
happened after the last apt-get update session.
tried to uninstall xscreensaver but still got lockups after screen timeout.
I've noticed that after the screen goes blank, the first few minutes I'm still able to wake the system out of the blank screen.
tried to disable locking the screen and setting idle time to 0 within the dconf editor - no luck.
can't sort it out, someone please help.

Having this same issue with Kali 2.1

In fact I'm having multiple issues with Kali 2.1 on the RPi.

Does this still occur with 2.1.2?

Just downloaded and tested - looks like the issue was resolved.

Wi-fi working great - interface names are all correct.

    XRDP working again.

    Thanks guys!

Actually I removed not only the xscreensaver, but also disabled inactivity waiting time of the display through dconf editor. Now the system stays awake like I want it to be.
Glad to know the development is alive though.
    Thanks steev!

I am having this same issue and reinstalled Kali X64 and when updating the screensaver came on (after setting it to no screensaver in GUI) and it locked up again.
Does anyone know the correct workaround with this screensaver issue?
