    Angry Kali Rolling 2016.1 Upgrade error

    My sources.list is unmodified.


    But whenever i try to update my Kali Linux ( linux-image-4.3.0-kali1-amd64 ) it returns the following error:

    I'd check /var/log and the output of dmesg for anything weird.

    Don't know if it would make any difference, but I'd also try running apt-get dist-upgrade, instead of apt-get upgrade

    Having same roadblock here.

    'apt-get dist-upgrade' is run after apt-get update per the
    recommended procedure and is the step for me where
    the upgrade breaks down. Looked at dmesg output and
    saw nothing that gave me a clue. Same with /var/log

    I upgraded yesterday, and didn't see any problems. Hate to say it, but your best bet would probably be a fresh install.

    Wunderbar. Unfortunately I have to admit it is likely the simplest solution.
