I am using:
4.3.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.3.3-7kali2 (2016-01-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux
on a new 13" notebook which is not a beast, but has acceptable hardware:
- Intel Celeron quad core N2940
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB HDD
- Intel HD Graphics
- 1366x768 13 inch screen
I have some issues using Kali (latest version and also on Kali 2.0 Sana) on this notebook:
- GRUB is being displayed funny #image1
- after GRUB I see black screen showing "Loading please wait ..." #image2
- then the font size is being adjusted #image3
- then I can see a "console login" which disappears automatically after some seconds #image4
- if I shut down or reboot Kali, it logs out but does not shut down the machine (instead there is a black screen)

Furthermore Kali behaves lame - especially if I open the application overview. The system is up-to-date. It seems a bit like a graphic card issue to me ...
