Can't install STA driver for Broadcom

First of all hey everybody, this it my very first post.

I'm having problem booting Kali. First of all after this message pops up after which Kali stops booting.

I've read that it's a problem with Broadcom drivers so I downloaded their STA linux driver but it won't/I don't know how to install it. I had major problems unpacking the tar.gz (solved), but now the problem is that the next step in the driver's readme is to run "make clean" and "make" commands which don't work. I tried to run the 'apt-get update' but it can't resolve kali.org for some reason (googled) and I'm stuck.

Now that I've reviewed the driver installation readme file what is says is

If you try to build this module but get an error message that looks like
this:

make: *** /lib/modules/"release"/build: No such file or directory. Stop.

Then you do not have the proper packages installed, since installing the
proper packages will create /lib/modules/"release"/build on your system.

When I type in "make clean" this is what I get which I think at least partially matches the upper case:
