I am having an issue whilst performing an apt-get dist-upgrade.

The errors I am getting are '403 forbidden'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Interesting...

    Thanks for the reply...

I get the following error when applying the above sed command:

sed: -e expression #1, char 19: unknown option to `s'

I have managed a work-around by apt-get remove(ing) the two offending updates (exploitdb and webshells) but I would like to install and upgrade these two programs as even running apt-get install gives me the same error (403 forbidden)

What needs to be changed in my sources.list file?

I appreciate your time on this,

    Regards,

    Bryceantony

    try deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev-only main non-free contrib
reboot, then make sure to remove this repository once you're done

    Many thanks, almost there.

The above fixed all but one upgrade, for webshells.

When I try and install the package manually (as I had to remove the package to perform a dist-upgrade) I get the following error still:

    apt-get install webshells
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed:
    webshells
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 136 not upgraded.
Need to get 14.4 kB of archives.
After this operation, 67.6 kB of additional disk space will be used.

    Any ideas?

(Thanks for the help so far )

    Hey there,

Thanks, but I am still having issues with 2 upgrades: exploitdb and webshells.

When I remove the packages, I can perform an apt-get dist-upgrade and upgrade fine.

When I try to install the packages, I have problems and appending --fix-missing does not seem to fix the problem.

    Thank you,

    Regards
