very weak wifi signal

hi everyone,i installed kali linux on my hp ab522tx laptop.it runs Realtek Rtl8723BE wireless adapter.

my wifi signal strength is very very low in kali linux when compared to windows 10.

it show signal strenth ok when i sit near the wifi modem and it doesnt detect when i get out of my room.

what should i do??

Try iwconfig on your wireless interface, and see what the transmit power is. You may be able to boost the transmit power by doing iwconfig [interface] txpower 27
