    Ethernet Setup on New Installation

    Morning guys,

    Was hoping to get some help...

    So I have a raspberry Pi B with a new installation of Kali on there. I have connected an ethernet cable to the Pi however I cannot seem to get an internet connection.

    I have ran ifconfig and don't get eth0 listed as a device. I get 'lo' and 'wlx000f54022lef'. I read somewhere that it might be that the onboard ethernet card isnt enabled - I edited the interfaces file in etc/network/ and added the following lines.
    ONBOOT=Yes
    BOOTPROTO=DHCP

    Still no luck...

    Wondered if anyone could offer any suggestions. I'm unsure if I have the correct version of Kali for my Pi. I was hoping for all of the tools to be pre-installed however they aren't. I had tried to run apt-get install kali-linux-full which is when I realised I had no internet connection.

    I am by no means an expert on linux - its all pretty new to me so go easy :-)

    Cheers
