Upgrade to 4.4.0 kali does not work
Hello all I am new to the forum and after browsing as a non member for a solution and could not find one I decided to join and get some community advice. When I upgraded to the 4.4.0 kali image it just didn't work. I am currently rolling back to 4.3 through the advanced options in the boot menu to get a working system. Periodically I boot to recovery mode in 4.4 and do an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade hoping a fix has been implemented with no luck after some 2 - 3 weeks. The symptoms are that the boot seems to stall part way through the process and eventually after a long 3 - 10 minute wait it will give me a command line log in. I have tried to boot using gdm3 command but nothing happens and I ctrl-c out of there. When i use shutdown -r or -h to get out it also hangs part way through shutdown and I have to power off with the main switch which means next boot requires journal recovery.

Well after 3 or 4 apt-get update && apt-get upgrades it is working
