Have been going in circles with the 'hciconfig' tool.
Using 'hciconfig -a hci0 name whacko' does not
change the device name. When monitoring the
device with 'btmon' the old device name continues
to be displayed. I tried running 'service bluetooth restart'
but still the device is being identified with the old
name. Thus far the only way I have been able to
change the name of the device is to edit the
'PRETTY_NAME' in the "machine-info' file, then
restart bluetooth. Any hints on if I am doing
something wrong with hciconfig?
