    No GUI after autoremove

Hello, I'm running kali 2.0, I launched apt-get autoremove command and after a reboot, it booted in the command line. I checked online and I installed chkconfig and run "chkconfig --level 2 gdm3" and then I installed gdm3 and type gdm3. When I reboot I've got different issues. The GUI isn't the same, my icons are bigger and a lot of my old configurations are gone. What can I do to fix it? Do I have to reinstall everything??

I've not encountered this specific problem, but a reinstall would probably be your best bet.
