Increase TX Power on AWUS036NEH wificard

Got kali-linux-2016.1-amd64 installed on laptop totally updated.

So tried using AWUS036NEH wificard thats using Ralink RT3070 chipset.

Card gets recognized by kali. Tried browsing online downloading things.... Its OK

but once trying to increase tx power from 20 db its just not working to me.

    Those are the commands used.

    man iw
    ifconfig wlan0 down
    iw reg set BO
    iwconfig wlan0 txpower 28
    ifconfig wlan0 up

and its just not working wont change from that 20 db to any other.

Plz explain how to increase tx power. (seems like that CBT Nuggets - BackTrack and Kali Linux vudeo tutorial isnt working clearly enough.) Even in vm ware its giving same results.

What strange thing is once putting to different region like VE - venezuela does works and db level changed to 30 db. isnt that crazzy?
(so dunt use BO use VE)

Now the only problem is putting wireless adapter back up.

With ifconfig wlan0 up is not working. Wont go back online, any sugestions to get wifi cart back online ?

I own this same card, and have been able to change the transmit power without bringing it down.

changing country doesn't work in most cases. use the patch for real txpower increase: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...-boost-working
