Hello forum !

So my kali VM (Vmware workstation) has grown quite rapidly with its use however it was only set up with a 30GB disk due to it just being trailed.

It was set up with full disk encryption during the install and now running out of space.

So there are two ways I can think of to get around this.

  1. Decrypt the OS and increase the disk size
  2. Using a liveboot disk to migrate all the data to a new VM

Now I'm not sure what's best or what's possible with this one.

There is a lot set up on this VM including custom apps and fixes so the migration would have to be a clone and not just user data.

Any ideas or recommendations ?

Kind regards
