    Login Screen is unviewable

    First of all hello all.

    I Have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with an amd X1400 Graphics card 3gb of ram.

    i have installed kali-linux-2016.1-i386 and i get to the login screen and its squashed and stretched and is completely unreadable. i can how ever boot into kali using via live usb and i have no problems at all. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    You could try this Jayand, boot into Grub and choose Advanced options. Then arrow down to (recovery mode) and boot that.
    Login and run:

    Code:
    systemctl start networking
    systemctl start network-manager
    apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
