Problem with a 2000mW card
Hey guys, i bought myself a knockoff 2000mW wifi card exact model/ The thing is that once i plug it in the usb port of a laptop running Kali, all usb ports are shut down. The card doesnt show up in airmon-ng and everything else plugged in the usb ports goes down and the machine needs a restart. I know USB 2.0 should be able to provide up-to 2W per port, but for some reason it doesnt power up. I tried on a desktop machine (with windows on it) but i could only detect some nearby APs. Could the card be faulty? Or my usb ports are just unable to feed it enough power? Would an USB hub with external power be able to solve the issue?
