    Trouble updating wpscan

    Hi

I do updates daily, with no issues.
But when I run wpscan, it ask me to update. Because of outdated db.
And gives the error: Unable to get https://data.wpscan.org/local_vulner...les.xml.sha512 (Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates)

    I'm running Kali GNU/Linux Rolling, version 2016.1.

Hope somebody is able to help me.

    Regards Qub.

You may want to check to make sure your date/time on the system is correct. If you are running in a VM and suspending the machine it can throw the date and time off which will result in CA checking errors when attempting to update wpscan. Run the 'date' command and if the date/time is off perform the following:

    service ntp restart
    wpscan --update

the database should update ok after that.
