Hello all,

My USB with persistence I've created works fine, even got the BCM4360 working no issues. So I wanted to take it a step further so I'm trying to install to the hd and for the life of me and days spent I cannot get the installation menu to appear on boot, just a text menu with only two options.

1) boot Linux from ISO
2) Modify Linux kernel boot options
Press any key to reboot

Both simply boot a live session without the menu that has install options.

I've disable SIP, reverted CoreStorage, rEFInd works and gives options for:
[OSX]
[Boot Windows legacy] ~ starts legacy loader, using options HD, error not found while loading
[\EFI\boot\boot.efi] ~ doesn't boot, errors: must load kernel first and lands at grub>
[Boot fallback boot loader] ~ this loads the two option text menu

I plug the same USB into a x86 machine and I get the install menu so I think it's something related to EFI or the Mac itself that's causing it to skip the install menu and boot straight to the live desktop.

Any insight, guidance or direction is appreciated thanks..
