Thread: Can't install Network Manager for VPN.

    Can't install Network Manager for VPN.

    I have a problem with apt-get install network-manager-openvpn-gnome network-manager-pptp network-manager-pptp-gnome network-manager-strongswan network-manager-vpnc network-manager-vpnc-gnome
    I want to install network manager and use VPN, I have followed instruction from here http://www.hackingtutorials.org/gene...on-kali-linux/

    I use Kali Linux 2016.1 vmdk file installed on vmware 12

    I have tried several repositories but they all not working.

    It came up with this error

    Hi, Im no expert. Just some things I would try. If you already checked these things please don't be insulted.

    #1 From a terminal can you ping www.google.com ? If so we know have network access to the internet. If not, well...
    #2 What does your sources.list file contain. According to kali official documentations it should only contain

    deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
    # For source package access, uncomment the following line
    # deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free

    Yes I can access to the internet, I can ping Google.

    And above is my sourceslist, but it doesn't work.

    @veronicax777 after updating your sources.list file, make sure you run
    apt-get update
    to update the repositories on your distribution. After that, you should be able to complete the installation. I just tried this on rolling 2016.1
