Question Overheat MacBook Pro Retina 2015

    Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with Kali, everything works fine but sometimes when I close my laptop ( without turning off the computer ), fan goes wild and my laptop become extremely hot.

In that case the only thing I can do is to turn off the computer by holding the "start" key because nothing else seems to work.

I'm wondering if anybody has the same issues or any suggestions about it ?

I'm using Kali in Dual Boot on a 15" Macbook Retina.

If anyone knows how to fix this it would be helpful, thank you !

Weird. I'm running Kali dual booted on another Mac also retina and late 2015 and I don't have this problem. When you close the lid are processes and such still running? Macs are pretty hot in general so that could be it. I know my apple light still stays on when I close the lid, so your fan going wild might be related to that.

Yes my apple light still stays on, so I suppose that processes still running.

Do you know how to turn off the light when you close the lid ?

    Well, it's not working anymore.

After choosing Kali to boot, black screen appears fan goes wild and nothing responds...
