Kali 2016.2 Grub Issue

Hi all,

I've been struggling trying to get my install to work but I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Previously when I installed 2016.1 from USB everything worked from the installer. However, when I install 2016.2 from the USB after successful installation there is no boot entry on my device and therefore I am unable to access the grub menu.

I am booting to the USB as UEFI and dual booting with my windows 10 installation.
I have tried to switch to both legacy and uefi with no success.
I have also tried installing on two other devices with no success. This includes a device using an entire disk rather than dual booting.
When I installed onto VirtualBox I was able to successfully boot up with no errors.

Not sure what's going on, but any help is greatly appreciated.

During the installation you say "yes" to install the GRUB on the hard drive? or don´t show that option?

I have the same problem, the installer dont show the option to install the GRUB. Why ?

I was not prompted to install to grub using 2016.2. After installation it was necessary to go into BIOS and add a new Boot device. FYI: This was an EFI installation.

What answer helped you? I'm having this issue as well, I'm not given the option to install grub. It "installs" automatically, but it doesn't actually install.

You have to add a boot option in your bios
