    need help with vmr-mdk-k2 (video)

    hi friends.
I am running kali 2016.1 on a hard drive install and I'm using VMR-MDK-K2-2016R-011x9 and VMR-MDK-K2-2016R-011x9.sh.

my problem is I dont get a Num' for "Config File".

i choose the target Num (its the only one on that Channel), but when i get to the stage of choosing the target "config File", I DONT SEE IT.

its writen that "a file (with the target name) was created" (writen in yellow or green), but above it suppose to be the list of all devices on that channel and thers non.
like i said thers only 1 on that channel but i dont get a numbered "config file" to choose.

    please help
    thank you.

    here is the vid:

For some reason the config file folder is not being made. You are getting an error on line 666 of the script. First we do not support ARM or luks encryption and we cannot test 64 bit. You may have a corrupted script but we doubt that therefore there must be something preventing the folder from being made.

We just ran the program on a persistent usb and it ran fine.

You might manually make a folder in root called VARMAC_CONFIG then see what happens when you run the script. You also could download another copy or we can send you one if your wish. There are allot of sites offering this program so stick to the sources from Musket Teams. All our scripts are free and we do not post on youtube therefore any info there didnot come from us.

    Try the following

    1. Run the program from root.

    ./VMR-MDK ??

If that does not work then make a directory in root

    In a terminal window type

    mkdir -p -m 700 VARMAC_CONFIG

This should make a VARMAC_CONFIG folder in root

The problem may be in the way you unzipped the file

Try unzip from the command line

    In root type

    unzip file name.zip

    for help type unzip [Enter]

    i have an important question:
when it say "aireplay found devices", Do i need to choose:
    1. Wlan0
    or
    2. mon0

i am asking this cause i know that mon0 is now wlan0\wlan0mon.

im using kali with alfa awus36nha.

when i manually run reaver the interface is "wlan0"
but if VMR.sh script is running, and i stop it and want to run reaver, the interface is "wlan0mon".

so what to select, wlan0 or mon0?
    thank you

In VMR-MDK devices mean the designation for the actual device like wlan0 wlan1 etc.

Monitors mean logical monitors like mon0 mon1 made from these devices like wlan0 wlan1 etc.

VMR-MDK makes its own monitors from devices. It cannot use the newer airmon-ng which resticts multiple monitors made from the same device.

Read the setup carefully. It first asks you to identify the device you wish to use ie wlan0 ath0 etc.

It then asks you to identify the monitor made from this device ie mon0 mon1 etc.

Once the user confirms the monitor made from the device VMR-MDK automatically makes two more monitors each with its own mac address. These three monitors are used during the DDOS process.

When you manually run reaver you use the newer airmon-ng which makes a monitor called wlan0mon or wlan1mon etc etc. When VMR-MDK runs it removes these monitors and makes its own again because of restrictions in the newer airmon-ng.
