Black Screen on Boot with white dot in top left corner and movable mouse

I just updated my kali linux on my raspberry pi 3 using apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade.

Now after i boot up, i go into this black screen and i can still move my mouse around.

If i press Ctrl + Alt + F1 and login and hit startx. I can boot into the desktop GUI.

How can i fix it so that it shows me the login screen again?

So apparently the login manager seems to be the problem because I can still login by going Ctrl Alt F1 and startx.

So I changed the login manager from lightdm to slim by running "apt-get install slim" in the terminal after I logged and chose slim as the default login manager during installation for now until they find a fix for it.
