I am trying to install Kali 2016.2 on XenServer 7.0. The install appears to complete successfully but the system wont boot, I get presented with the following screen

ok, so I did some playing tonight and I now have some progress but still cannot boot. I got the boot to proceed by only allocating 1 CPU. Now the boot hangs after initiating Debian-gdm

SO, this now works! I performed the install using the Debian Jessie template in XenServer rather than the other install media option, however the boot appears to not be working since it takes about 6 minutes to boot into the GUI. I would increase resources on the VM but during this time there is next to no resources being used by the VM, so why does it take so long?
