    Problem With TP-LINK T2UH Kali Linux 2016.2

    Hello,

    I am trying to install TP-LINK Archer T2UH AC600 in a Kali Linux 2016.2 with Kernel 4.6 but I cant find a driver that works with it.
    All the drivers that I try comes with the same message;

    make -C tools
    make[1]: Entering directory '/root/mt7610u_wifi_sta_v3002_dpo_20130916/tools'
    gcc -g bin2h.c -o bin2h
    make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/mt7610u_wifi_sta_v3002_dpo_20130916/tools'
    /root/mt7610u_wifi_sta_v3002_dpo_20130916/tools/bin2h
    chipset = mt7610u
    cp -f os/linux/Makefile.6 /root/mt7610u_wifi_sta_v3002_dpo_20130916/os/linux/Makefile
    make -C /lib/modules/4.6.0-kali1-amd64/build SUBDIRS=/root/mt7610u_wifi_sta_v3002_dpo_20130916/os/linux modules
    make[1]: Entering directory '/lib/modules/4.6.0-kali1-amd64/build'
    make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'modules'. Stop.
    make[1]: Leaving directory '/lib/modules/4.6.0-kali1-amd64/build'
    Makefile:403: recipe for target 'LINUX' failed
    make: *** [LINUX] Error 2

    Same thing here, bit different error, and the cloud firewall doesn't let me paste in the details, so the main error is:
    error: code model kernel does not support PIC mode

    Have you tried with the official TP-Link driver from their website?

    The official TP-Link driver is for older karnel ver.
    It's so annoying I am trying everything and nothing never happens. If some one has ideas, i'm really willing to see/hear them.
    I can't believe no one was able to resolve this,the stick is awesome ...

    Should have the kernel patched to enable PIC mode. Couldn't find out yet..

    Yes the problem is, Kali is new for me. I don't have the required knowledge to make such operations. HECK I can't do basic things without googling it first... And I am 100% sure there are people who, already managed to fire up the dongle..

    Found some new drivers (seems newer) for that kind of chip what this T2UH AC600 uses, will update if I have time to try them.

    So I've got 1 driver out of 20 for mt7610u, which doesn't give the error (kernel model does not support PIC mode) - compiles, installs, but it seems not working.. can't even start up, I just see it in the iwconfig.. I'll give 1 more day of trying (after 2 weeks) and I'll return to the ebay seller.. PITA

    TBH done some research - no 802.11ac adapters are compatible with Linux at all.. seems..

    Has anyone found a solution to this? I am also having the same issue. But I'm wondering (and I could be wrong cause I really don't know code), if you open the makefile and go to the PLATFORM PC section, the CROSS-COMPILE entry is blank. All of the other platforms have something in the CROSS COMPILE section. Could this be the issue and if so does anyone have an idea on what to put in there?
