I use HP envy with beats audio and the standard kali install is really low sound

    so i used this:

open terminal and paste or type this:

systemctl --user enable pulseaudio && systemctl --user start pulseaudio

then download all of the following (quick google search)

    1. alsa-firmware-loaders_1.0.28-1+diwic2_amd64.deb
    2. alsa-tools_1.0.28-1+diwic2_amd64.deb
    3. alsa-tools-gui_1.0.28-1+diwic2_amd64.deb
    4. hda-jack-retask_0.20130613+raring_amd64.deb
    5. ld10k1_1.0.28-1+diwic2_amd64.deb

once you have found and downloaded all the .deb files there are 2 methods of installing:

    1. use terminal and use the dpkg command ... example: dpkg -i FILENAME

    or

    2. apt-get install gdebi - y

if you use second method you just right click the .deb file and select gdebi as the installer

after all is installed open up terminal and type this:

    hdajackretask

then at the top it will say HDMI just click and change to your sound card

    then click SHOW UNCONNECTED PINS

after that click on the pins and select Internal speaker

once all pins are selected just click install boot over ride and then apply now

reboot and enjoy a loud system
