Kali Linux on raspberry pi3 not displaying on the wired lan network

I use ssh and vnc to view the desktop. I completed the complete installation and upgrade by sudo apt-get install kali-linux-full. After the completion of the upgrade I shut down the pi3. From the next reboot it was not displaying on the network. I should mention that I do not have a monitor attached with the pi3. I use putty and vnc to use it. I cannot SSH it anymore as it is not displaying on the network. I would be very grateful if anyone on this forum could help me.

You would need to attach a display to the rpi3 if at all possible. There should be some sort of information on the screen as to why it may (or may not) be booting properly, all the way.
