Smile Installing Kali on Asus Eee PC 1015CX

Hello everyone! I have been trying to install Kali on an Asus Eee PC 1015CX but without success. I have tried different ISO images (32 bit and 32 bit light), different programs to burn the ISO on USB and 4 different USB sticks but no luck. The live version starts with no problems and the installer goes through the whole process but once the installation is finished, I get a black screen with a blinking dash and after a couple of seconds a message saying that the time has ran out to wait for boot devices.

I had surrendered for a couple of weeks and installed Lubuntu which is going discreetly well (I'm not expecting kali to be super-smooth but I want to have a go), but I want to have another go now.

Among other things, I thought it might have been a problem of GRUB not recognising the booting device but still no luck.

Any advice? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi defalt, and thanks for your answer.

In the bios the only option I find with my USB inserted is this:

And when I'm booting via USB I can choose the following options:

But If I click on UEFI nothing happens, the pc just reboots, so I just click on "Sandisk" and manage to install, but once I'm finished the system is not booting.

Can you post a screenshot of UEFI settings>Security(right side of BOOT tab). There is an option Secure Boot. See if it is disabled.

    Hi,

I had the same error. I managed to boot Kali from USB---> after i selected the priority of the devices and after i saved the settings to boot the image from USB--i simply pressed ESC and i was redirected to a menu and i selected the USB and the Kali Image started to work and to install
