NOTE TO MODERATOR: This is not related to a startup issues! Machine is able to pass through the boot procedure but getting stuck later after login.
Hi guys.
Just updated(apt update upgrade dist-upgrade) the whole system and have found that Gnome doesn't work and sometimes machine just doesn't respond and black screen appears.
When it works I have an access through ssh, but when i'm trying to login to Gnome I receive black screen.
- Kali version (GNOME,x86_64)
Linux kali630 4.8.0-kali2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.8.15-1kali1 (2016-12-23) x86_64 GNU/Linux
updated from 4.3.0- Kali installation (HDD)
- Basic output of commands (ifconfig, iwconfig, lspci, lsusb, dmesg, etc.)
dmesg -

...a few of the same- An error message (if any)
No error messages, just Gnome doesn't work and PC freezes.- Links to the same problem (if any)

Tried to reinstall Gnome but without success.
Next i've found possible solution - https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/128918/ - could someone tell me will it work for 4.8.15 kernel and if yes how to implement it?
