Hello all,

Background
I updated kali 2.0 - i use usb not full install so my os is usually fresh. I needed to install cups for a linux unfriendly cannon network printer - encountered the new 404 repository issue and changed to rolling ( https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...ll=1#post63421 ) and cups install went flawlessly. I updated as root. I also installed cannon printing debs (not scanner)

My Question:
After cups install and required automatic updates for cups install - faraday IDE appeared on my quick launch popout task bar. A bright red F - hard to miss
Faraday is some sort of pcanywhere audit view record program so ofcourse as a kali user im alerted by its appearance. Is its appearance just advertising placement or is this somehow used or activated by cups? I dont think faraday is related to cannon since it pops up in other peoples rolling updates when i did a faraday search in forums. When i ps aux | grep faraday - i get nothing (am i correct in trusting that if ps aux does not see it - then it is NOT running)??

Thanks for any info and putting my mind at ease folks - i dont want some truecrypt magical siezure of my private files type of event lol....
