After trying to boot from my live USB, no matter what option I choose (live USB amd64, live USB persistence, etc.) the following happens. Some text appears at bottom left.
Loading /live/vmlinz... Ok
Loading /live/Initrd.img...ok
Then a green cursor flashes in the top left a few times and stops and I can't do anything except turn off the laptop and try again. On my most recent try, about 3/4 of the background was black instead of the Kali logo. Sometimes when I try, it never even gets to the selection page, just goes black until I restart the laptop.
Acer aspire r3-131t, 64 bit operating system and processor, Windows 8.1 with Bing. I downloaded Kali Linux 64 bit version 2016.2 from Kali.org and used win32 disk imager to write it to an NTFS 16 GB PNY flash drive.
