I installed Kali 32 bit to a emachine computer. The live runs fine from the CD. While booting the install version on the hard drive I get the message *error* unexpected child device config size 27 (expected 33 for vbt version 109) then all stops and I never get to put in my login or password let alone get to the desktop.

The live version on the disk I installed it from as a clean install when in terminal and I type in uname –a I get the following as to which distribution is the live version.
Linux Kali 4.6.0-kali1-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 4.6.4-1kali1 (2016-07-21) i686 GNU/Linux
The only reference to it online I saw was at:
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/90756/
I have no idea what is my next step in using the patch on the page. Do I boot the live CD and go onto the install os on the hard drive find a file in one of the folders and make the change to the file following the patch? If so what would be the folder and what file inside it deals with this error and needs changing.
Thank you in advance to any help anyone can give me with this problem.
