    Gcc5

I have installed the latest kali on a Dell inspiron 15. I thought it was dual booted but I think I may have deleted the windows OS. Now only kali in boot. So to the issue... I have installed vmware workstation it gets installed but when I try to open it I get the gcc5 error. I've tried everything. I tried pointing to gcc5 but I don't have it in usr/bin. I tried Installing it but get either no package available or no installation candidate. I have tried several other things but don't remember the details. PLEASE HELP!

If I remember correctly, you need a specific package. Search for linux-compiler-gcc-5 then install that.

Finally, restart the VMware installer. If it fails again, simply restart the installer one more time and it should be fine (or reboot).
