    There's the problem. Now my favorite part. Show the output of lsmod. We are going to blacklist hp-wifi module.

    Copy-paste the following command into the Terminal and then press ENTER:

    gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

    ADD the following configuration line into the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:

    blacklist hp_wmi

    SAVE the change to the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file.

    Then REBOOT.

    That should have worked. Anyway show the output of:

    1)rfkill list all
    2)cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

    Run this command sudo service network-manager start

    It's look like you have broadcom wireless adapter. Which wifi adapter are you using? Have you installed the required drivers for it?
