Don't recognize the usb adapter in the deskop but yes in the laptop

For me is simply a strange thing. I have Virtualbox hosted in windows 8.1 , in the laptop and in the desktop too.
The virtual machine in the laptop goes well. The usb filter is recognized and the adapter works in monitor mode (Ralink RT3070)

I suppose the thing is more about VB than kali. But is in interaction.

The device is not recognized in the desktop installation.

When I try to attach the usb device the error message I receive is this :

USB device 'Ralink 802.11 n WLAN' with UUID {f1393cab-53ad-4d9c-a21e-c12fc95e79ff} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

These virtual machines come with lot of mess. If one is not familiar with them one can't fix them. Why are you using virtual machine in the first place? By the way are you a big fan of Mr.Robot?

I'm saying you can dual boot if virtual machine doesn't work for you.

I will try with VMWare also.

The dual boot is not interesting for me. I prefer be able to stay in the windows doing other things meanwhile.

The VB answer is the usb troubleshooting section and may to try a pair of thing before. Like unhabilitate the antivirus or locate a process or service that is occupying the usb port.

With the last version of kali and vmware nowadays i have no problem.
The usb adapter is recognized.
