    Angry Kali Linux 2017.1 Gui Probleming

    hi

    Kali Linux 2017.1 first install pc and not gui working

    I'am probleming in video

    I applied the following methods to solve it, but the problem continues.

    Sources.list:

    deb https://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib

    apt-get update
    apt-get upgrade
    apt-get dist-upgrade

    and nvidia dkms driver install

    but problem continues

    Help me.

    Have you checked the output of dmesg or /var/log for issues?

    Can you verify that your video card is supported by Kali?

    Hy Everyone

    Installed Nvidia drivers & Cuda Toolkit and it works - can benchmark it and see that geforce is listed correctly.

    But just till I reboot!

    Then the "Oh no, something has gone wrong!" message apears.

    Only thing is to purge nvidia driver and I can boot with GUI again.

    Well, did the install like the description on 2017.1 - and CUDA works, till reboot.


    Whats the problem?


    I can also run hashcat using alt+F2 to log in as root without GUI - but well, that's not the idea

    I suggest testing against a stock Debian distro. Since Kali is based off Debian, if it works in Debian, it's likely to work in Kali
