Question AWUS036NHA cluttering log and dmesg | Bonus can you really push TXPower to 30?

    Hi,

Yesterday I installed Kali Sana in VMWare Workstation and have been going through **** trying to just capture handshakes on my AP. Is there anyone that can help?

    iwconfig:
    wlan0mon IEEE 802.11 Mode:Monitor Frequency:2.462 GHz Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thrff Fragment thrff
    Power Managementff

    lsusb - Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0cf3:9271 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR9271 802.11n

Problem #2 for some reason my messages, syslog and kern.log logfiles are about 28.6gb each and i cant figure out why.

    tail syslog -
    Code:
    root@murd3r:/var/log# tail syslog

^ Im not 100% sure how to understand these log files but i'd appreciate anyone that could translate any part of them.

For some reason I am unable to actually inject into my own AP but the injection test are all showing successful. I can't actually deauth as far as I can tell either.

I also have a question about TX power. It seems people all over the internet are going back and forth over whether the AWUS036NHA can have its TX Power pushed passed 20db. Has anyone been able to successfully increase it?

That looks like a kernel oops. Basically a module that has an error. You might want to post the full thing (what you posted is incomplete, it's missing the beginning with system info) to linux wireless with the same other details you put in this post.

One last thing, the "code" tag is useful so output from the command line doesn't get converted to smileys.
