Installing Kali on Lenovo Yoga 710 / Windows 10 / 64 bit ?

I currently purchased Vmware 12.5 or my Lenovo. I am trying to find out which Kali image to download. I have tried downloading the iso file for 64. When I opening it in Vmware I set it up as Linux/ Debian 8x 64. Everything downloaded, but then left me with a black screen with a cursor in the left corner. Trying to find out what I am doing wrong to correct this, would it be the grub, or try a diff download on Kali Linux downloads. If I could get some help setting this up I would really appreciate it.

I'd go with one of the pre-built Kali VMWare images over at offensive-security.com. They also have some directions for use there, too.
