    Aircrack vs. Text File pwl's

For reasons unknown to me when I try to use a text file password list in aircrack such as rockyou.txt in Kali nethunter it won't allow it due to it being a text file. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

What you're saying is wrong. Password list must be text. One password/passphrase per line. Just FYI, for WPA, a minimum of 8 characters is MANDATORY. Anything below that is ignored.

What error message are you getting?

Unsupported file format. Not a pcap or ivs file. No network found. Quitting.

The Rockyou.txt I have is formatted one word per line.

It looks like your problem is in the .cap file as there is no wpa handshake not in your wordlist or your aircrack-ng command line has incorrect entries.

Your command line is definitely wrong. You forgot the wordlist parameter before (-w) so it is treated as a pcap (those don't need any parameter)

Can you give me an example ? Also does it matter that my word list is stored on the SD card?
