ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysq

Hi guys,
I have a problem with mysql, I installed kali last version and when I un this command

mysql -u root -p

I get this error

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

I reinstalled mysql but still I get that error

but it doesn't work
What should I do?
