Cannot boot kali on Raspberry Pi B+ with PiTFT --UPDATE

    Kali image: kali-2017.01-rpitft.img
    Screen: PiTFT Plus (resistive touch)

When I power up the unit, the screen goes white and nothing happens.

I tried again with an HDMI monitor attached. I got a screen full of boot messages. The last lines mention an "unrecognized feature in journal" and then a list of partition and "No filesystem could mount root". Finally a PANIC: unable to mount root fs on unknown block(179,2)

Would very uch appreciate assistance understanding what is wrong and suggestions on how to fix it.

    Thank you!
