Hello,

I have installed kali linux on a USB stick with a second partition called persistence.

I boot and go into kali linux with persistence, I create the appropriate persistence.conf file, I enter settings for screen resolution, wifi, etc. This all works for the current session.

Then I issue a reboot command, this promptly closes kali linux and brings the laptop back to its bios boot menu. I go into its setup and see that the laptop's time and date have been clobbered with spurious alphanumeric values. The system restarts and reaches the kali options menu. Once back into kali linux persistence, I see that the persistence.conf file is gone as well.

Is there a kali linux config command that can help with this reboot problem?
