    Kali Reporting/Documenting Tools

    Hi Guys,

I would like to know which tools are best for reporting after and documenting during a pentest. I am not in the field and thinking long term of the OSCP exam. The main choices Kali seems to offer are Dradis CE and Faraday IDE. My question is which if any of these tools the pros use and why. Should I practice with them or something else? The auto-generating report feature in Dradis is attractive, but Farady is default in the dock which suggests to me it should be used.
    Any advice?

    Cheers

I personally prefer KeepNote; used it during the PWB course, and in my work since. As I work, I put my notes and screenshots there, then compile that info into a formal report. Depending on what I'm doing at the time, I kick off some long-running process, then work on reporting.

After a few tests, I created some templates for KeepNote and the formal report...which has made reporting much easier.

No problem! Your mileage may vary, but after trying a few different things, that approach works well for me
